Halloween is coming up, and many families with young children may be preparing for it — with costumes, parties, and good humor.
But this weekend, a far more important event taking place. Do you have time to join in? It’s not too late!
On Saturday, October 18th, folks across the United States will gather in a demonstration of peace, love, and unity.
We come from different walks of life, and many of us favor different ideas about politics and religion. But what we share far outweighs these differences!
We will demonstrate the power of ordinary people to come together peacefully and show our commitment to democracy, free speech, and protecting the rights of our fellow human beings.
I look forward to joining in this celebration, and will be excited to see ordinary, caring, wonderful Americans standing together for the core principles of our common humanity – and for our Constitutional rights.
Let’s show our children the importance of speaking out, and the great strength that communities have when we work together.
